So we headed out to Zion National Park this past weekend to scout out a little cooler temps and see if the leaves had changed yet. It is, after all, almost Thanksgiving. Here are a few things you can expect on such an expedition... Bryson experimenting with new tricks on our camera
Two little munchkins camping out in the leaves (one is having a little bit more fun than the other)
Avery gearing up to fill her diaper
Parents who have significantly scaled back on their ridiculously long excursions (this is Emerald Pools, shortest hike on the map)
And a bonus shot from the other day at the Sugar Loaf
I would like to brag that Ella completed the entire Emerald Pools hike on foot (it's about 2 miles the way we went). We also saw five Bambis, one of which crossed the trail right in front of us. I won't say who, but a close family member once accused us of trying to kill her by taking her on this exact same hike because it was so intense. I'm not saying who...but you know who you are.

Way WAY cute pictures!
I LOVE that last picture. Very artistic. What kind of camera do you have?
Looks like you had a fun trip. Yay for Ella for hiking all that way. That is tough on little lets.
We went on a hike this past summer and he was so excited he ran the whole way to our turning point...zig-zagging and jumping and climbing all over...and then was so pooped out he had to be carried half way on the way out.
We went last week too. I'm surprised we didn't see you there. It seems like every time we go to Zion's we bump into you guys! :)
The colors are beautiful! You guys are so adventurous. But I guess you'd better take advantage of it now, right?
I'm so impressed that Ella hiked the whole way! I think you would have had to carry *me* at one point on a 2 mile hike :-) Everything looks gorgeous. We're going to have to convince my parents to go to Zions next weekend (they are holders of the glorious Golden Eagle pass that gets us all in free to national parks. Yeah for retired people!)
Could you be refering to yo mama? Not my thing. I like it after you have a baby , then we are on the same athletic line. Call me when you decide to have another baby and we'll hike to the park. Until then I'll stay on low ground.
Yeah, Bry had some and so did I... As far as I know, that's all that was taken. So I exaggerated a little, but still my jello wasn't too popular! :) It made for great left overs though!
That website for the headbands is www.ribbonretreat.com If you buy the 5" crocheted headbands you can sew the tops together to make a beanie. Hope you guys are doing well. It was good to see you at Thanksgiving.
